The Rod Of God

(Ex. 7:8-9)"And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron saying, When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent." Whenever this text is read, the first thing that we think about is the fact that Pharaoh's magicians also did the same, "butAaron's rod swallowed up their rods." In other words the power of Aaron's rod was greater than the power of Pharaoh's. Symbolically, Aaron's rod represented Christ (Isa. 11:1 and the rod of Pharaoh's magician, Satan. We need to remember this if we're going to be successful in our Christian faith. Jesus said that, "all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth"(Matt. 28:18). (1John 4:4) "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." There is no power in heaven or on earth that is greater than Jesus Christ, and once we are born again into his family we too have power through his name to overcome all evil. He is the "rod of our strength," & the rod of "The Lord God Almighty
